BRIAN LARA and Trent Noel will be joined by 2009 winner Desmond Haynes along with Gordon Greenidge as some of the celebrity players who will tee-off at the Cotton Tree Foundation’s Eighth Annual Charity Golf Tournament which comes off with a shot-gun start on May 26, 2010, at the St Andrew’s Golf Club. Derek Murray, Willie Rodriguez and Keith Clifford will also be seen at the tee-off to the Tournament which is a major fund-raiser for the Cotton Tree Foundation.

The TSTT Foundation has taken up Platinum Sponsorship this year with a donation of $100,000. In addition, the TSTT Foundation will supply the first prize of Trophies and Blackberries as well as golf shirts, bags and other items for the players.

The hole-in-one prize is a $800K Porsche Cayenne V6 given by Life Style Motors. Other sponsors like BGTT, LJ Williams, NLCB and Petrotrin (to name a few), have all come on board to make this Tournament an exciting and enjoyable day of sportsmanship geared towards one common goal, to help raise funds for Cotton Tree Foundation’s programmes which are all aimed at counteracting the social and illiteracy problems facing society.

Funds from this year’s tournament will also support the organisation’s scholarship programme, Home Work Centre, community outreach sports programme, youth volunteer programme, legal aid clinic and vacation camp.
