After a promising start to his second season in Norway, Reggae Boy Demar Phillips could be out of action for another two weeks with a hamstring injury. The nippy utility player, who made his name at local club Waterhouse after a move from York in St Thomas, was home recently while recuperating from the injury timetables to keep him out of action for six weeks.

"Things were really going great for me and the team this season until I tore my hamstring in training," Phillips told The Gleaner.

"In the first five games of the season, I scored two goals and was really feeling good playing at left midfield. I was enjoying the more attacking role as I played at left back last season," said the 26-year-old, who is in his second year of a three-year contract, following a move from Stoke City in England where he spent a season and a half.

As far as the performance of the team - Aalesunds SK - is concerned, Phillips revealed with a smile that they were doing better than fellow Reggae Boy Rodolph Austin who represents SK Brann.

"Right now, we are in second place which is great. We have only lost one match so far and the team has gotten even stronger with the return of Khari (Stephenson), who was out for seven weeks with an ankle injury," Phillips said.

As for coping with the cold conditions in Norway, Phillips, who was home to see his young daughter, said he had no problems.

"I like it in Norway. The cold is something you have to get adjusted to and I would play anywhere. It is my livelihood," said the man who got invited to Stoke on the recommendation of fellow Reggae Boy Ricardo Fuller.
