THE Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) will stage their second Olympic youth camp at two venues on Monday.
Camps will be hosted at the Athlete Lounge, Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port-of-Spain and at the Clifton Hill Sports Club, Point Fortin.
Over 400 youngsters will participate in the non-residential activities geared at teaching and sharing skills and information necessary to inspire them to be Olympic champions and champions in life.
Each TTOC affiliate can nominate one male and one female 13-16-year- old athlete for the Port of Spain camp, while at Point Fortin participants will come from the TTOC Shape the Community programme.
According to TTOC president Larry Romany, the camp is important, “in many ways the Olympic Youth Camp is essential to the future of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic movement.
“It is the annual youth camp that introduces the youth to the fascinating world of Olympics and Olympians.”
