FORMER outstanding West Indies opening batsman, Gordon Greenidge has praised Eastern Credit Union for their contribution to Trinidad and Tobago cricket. Eastern Credit Union is the main sponsor of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board’s (TTCB) Premier League tournament. Greenidge was a specially invited guest at their annual Awards Function on August 21 at the Ball Room of the Crowne Plaza in Port-of-Spain.

The prolific batsman said that Eastern Credit Union’s sponsorship in excess of $1.6 million over the past four years was a testament to their commitment to the continued success of the game and the national team over the period.

Easter Credit Union president, Nigel Matther and Chief Executive Officer, Derek Guerra pledged continued support for the Premier League and urged they board and the players to continue their high standard.

National cricketer Samuel Badree emerged the “Player of the Year” at the awards ceremony.
