TRINIDAD and Tobago edged Bahamas by one point to win the Team Championship title at the 18th Caribbean Darts Championships which ended this weekend in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas.
The TT team amassed 55 points to win the Team event ahead of the hosts who had 54 points while Florida placed third with 50 points.TT’s Lestor Legall won the Men’s Singles event while compatriot Rahaman Hassanali was the runner-up. Florida’s Paula Murphy was crowned the Women’s Singles champion.
The Men’s Doubles title went to the TT pair of Earle Chimming and Troy Bhujhawan. Bahamas placed second.
Bahamas won the Mixed Triples event, leaving TT’s Chimming, Bhujhawan and A Jacob to settle for second place. The tournament Most Valuable Player was TT’s Troy Bhujhawan while Florida’s Paula Murphy was the Female MVP.
TT’ Rahaman Hassanali won the award for High Check-Off Man.
Florida claimed the Caribbean Cup Overall crown while TT finished as the runner-up.
