ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The end of the 2012 Sandals Foundation Rockersville/Gray’s Green Invitational Basketball League season is fast approaching. Its final games are on tap at Ford Road Sports Complex.
Last night, Big Banana Express and Baldwin Spencer Braves clashed in the third place game while this evening will feature Zone A leaders Akhimo against the undefeated Zone B top dogs, JSC Hawks, to determine the overall league champions.
Following the league finals, the playoffs will begin on Tuesday, February 7, at two venues: Fort Road and Gray’s Farm basketball courts.
Round one of the playoffs will take the single elimination format.
At Fort Road, Braves (A2) take on JJ United (B5) at 6:30 pm before Akhimo (A1) face Harold Lovell Rockersville at 8 pm.
At Gray’s Farm, Big Banana Express (B2) battle Spartans (A5) at 6:30 pm, while JSC Hawks (B1) contest Samantha Marshall Bolans Ravens (A6) at 8 pm.
On Thursday, February 9, DC Diamond Stars (A3) come up against Sweet Bs Ottos (B4) at 7 pm, while at Gray’s Farm, Hankook Flyers (A4) face Roots.
